What Is Truck Shipping?
We move pickups nationwide, from stock half-tons to lifted duallys.
Truck shipping, as we handle it, covers pickup trucks: half-ton daily drivers, heavy-duty work trucks, duallys, and lifted or modified builds. It does not cover freight or semi trucks. We ship pickups nationwide on the same carrier network that moves cars, with one practical difference: trucks vary in size far more than cars do. A stock Silverado rides an open carrier like any sedan, while an F-350 dually on a lift needs a carrier chosen for its height, width, and weight.
Size is what changes the equipment. A half-ton like an F-150, Ram 1500, or Tundra fits a standard open slot. Heavy-duty trucks, the F-250s and F-350s, the 2500s and 3500s, take more deck space and more weight. Duallys are wider than a standard slot, so carriers plan the load around them. Lifted trucks need vertical clearance: anything over about 7 feet tall takes specific deck positioning or a different trailer entirely. All of it is manageable when the carrier knows before arrival.
Accurate specs are what make it work. To quote a truck we need the exact trim, any lift measured to the highest point with racks and light bars included, a note on aftermarket bumpers or toolboxes, and an empty bed on pickup day. Wrong measurements are the number-one cause of day-of problems in truck transport, so we confirm everything before the driver is dispatched. Open transport is the default, enclosed is available for show trucks and high-value builds, and open-carrier cargo insurance typically runs around $100,000, with the certificate shared before pickup. Transit averages about one day per 400–500 miles.

Lock in the rate and date
We confirm a price, schedule a pickup window, and dispatch a carrier we've worked with. You get the driver's name and MC number before they leave.

Pickup
Your truck's specs are confirmed before the driver is dispatched, so the carrier arrives knowing exactly what it is loading. The driver walks the truck with you, photographs every panel, checks that the bed is empty, and signs the Bill of Lading before loading.

Delivery
You receive updates en route. The vehicle is photographed again at drop-off, and you inspect and sign the Bill of Lading to close out the shipment.

Yes. Lifted truck shipping comes down to total height. Measure from the ground to the highest point on the truck with racks and light bars included, and send us that number. A truck over about 7 feet tall needs specific deck positioning or a different trailer, so we confirm the measurement before dispatch and assign a carrier whose equipment clears it.
Do duallys cost more to ship?
Usually, yes. A dually is wider than a standard carrier slot and heavier than a half-ton, so it takes more deck space and fewer carriers can legally haul it. Dually transport typically prices above the standard ranges for the same route. Tell us up front and the quote will reflect its real footprint from the start.
Does the truck bed need to be empty?
Yes. Carrier cargo insurance does not cover loose items in the bed, and an empty bed is the industry standard in truck transport. Bolted-down toolboxes can stay, but note them at quote time so they are counted in the truck's dimensions and weight. Loose tools, parts, and household goods need to come out before the driver arrives.
Should I ship my truck open or enclosed?
Open transport is the default for trucks and the right choice for most of them, including daily drivers and work trucks. Enclosed is available for show trucks and high-value builds where the finish justifies the premium. If you are weighing the two, we will quote both so you can decide with real numbers.
How much does truck shipping cost?
For a stock pickup on an open carrier, regional moves under about 500 miles typically run $500–$900 and cross-country runs $1,100–$1,800. Oversized and lifted trucks price above those ranges because they take more space and fewer carriers can haul them. Distance, weight, and modifications set the final number, and the price you book is the price you pay.

Will the price change after I book?
Rarely, and never without your say-so. The price you book is the price you pay, and we hold it. Two things can move a locked price: a change to the shipment itself, such as a new destination or a vehicle that turns out to be non-running, or an unusual market swing on your route, meaning diesel, driver supply, or seasonal demand shifting enough that no carrier will run the lane at the quoted rate. That second one is uncommon. If it happens we call you before anything is charged, and you decide whether to go ahead.
